MoH is piloting environmental Surveillance in Lahore and Karachi. Not much zeal from program point of view and otherwise but it was a good experience for me to work with EMRO representative on selection of the sites.

We surveyed the sewerage system of most of Lahore. Following are some pictures that I took during the course of time.

Nice addition to the Public Health Images Library from Zubair. As far as I remember the same Sewer Canal passing through Samanabad Lahore, gives the most nastiest of smell of the people living in their bungalows on the edges. Was almost unbearable when I saw it last time in 2004

Absolutely right sir. I tried to find out the name of this sewer from community people but my inferecne was that as it passes through every area, it is given the name of that area. But there was one term "Ganda Nala" which I finally came across which is most commonly used for this sewer ?

Sir, DO we have sewer disposal pumps in Peshawar. If yes where?

In Peshawar main city sewer known as "Shahi Katha" passes through Kohati Gate, Kabari Bazar behind Qissa Khawani and then is merged with some canal near Bashirabad, Pajagi Road.

To best of my knowledge, Sewer treatment plant is in Hayatabad Peshawar just adjacent to the first Hayatabad turn as you cross the railway track, to your left is Waste Treatment Plant, but I am not sure about the pumps. It neutralized sewarage water and throws it a Khwar.

Another one is adjacent to the Ring Road, taking left from GT Road bridge near Chugal Pura on the outskirts of Peshawar

Dear Dr Nayyar & Dr Zubair,
I am facing a strange net problem since morning,as detailed below..
Please help me to rectify it.
When I want to post a picture and click on host an image, a Dialogue box/window appears with two writing bars, in one my email ID is already written,in the next pass word is asked I give pass word,which they say is incorrect.
This window was not appearing before,since this window/dialogue box started appearing I failed to post even a single picture,although I have a lot of Fresh Public Health Related Photo Stuff but it does not allow me to send pictures. Please help me not to see this dialogue box agian.I want the things to remain as it were previously.

This problem is also happening with me. I have checked, it is a servimage.com server error which is at their end because of some server overload and they said that the problem will be rectified within 24-48 hours. Till then you can use photobucket.com to upload your pictures there and just link it over here and the images will be displayed

When I click on link,then I write photobucket.come in the first line,Then What I should Write in the Second dialigue box line. How I will Browse and select my picture for uploading.

Well, the servimg.com is now working, but you need to have an account with gmail to use servimg.com because servimg.com is now part of google software. So make an email account on www.gmail.com and then use the same gmail account and its password to log on to servimg.com

So once you have made a new email account with gmail.com, you can click on the host image button above and then enter your full gmail email address and same password and click submit within the same window.

Immediately the window for uploading picture will come in front of you. Enjoy and upload your pictures

What I shall suggest in addition to Dr. Nayyar's advice is to make an account on www.photobucket.com. Sometimes when servimg is not working, you can login to your account on photobucket, and click on choose image on the right of the screen. The browse window will appear and you just select the picture to be uploaded. Once uploaded a new screen appears. On this screes there are a few icons at the base in front of the heading/domain "share". Just scoroll your mouse pointer on those small icons. On the second icon from right, the text will appear "share on blogger"; click on this icon. A new window will appear in which there will be a link in a small text bar at the base. Copy this text and paste in the image link bar on our forum and click ok. Your image will be uploaded and seen.

Any queries while you try it are welcome.

Zubair! Yours instructions did not work.
I browsed and selected the pic in the bucket's window ,, then share blogger,then copied the link,then host image,put the copied link in the upper (out of the two) writing Bars. then waited,although before sending the pic the mouse was showing that there is some activity of the pic being uploaded,I waite,waited but could not saw the pic, Then I send it with the hope it will appear when sent, but see the result above,no pic is there.
Dr Nayyar's (our Sir who is the GURU of this field) will guide me further,because I also tried his instructions like this
1 I created an account in gmail
2. I put the user name and pass word of gmail in the two writing bars of servimg
3. When I okay it,the message comes that the user name or the pass word is incorrect
the same yahoo username appears and I am asked for password which when I put, they say is incorrect.
I am stuck up with a big big problem

I will stop trying it more,if no remedy was sent in time

Abuzar if you look carefully at your last post, you will find the mistake which you have comitted

Put your full gmail, remember only gmail and not yahoo email address, in the servimg place holders. Your full gmail address should look like xxxxxx@gmail.com and then in password put the gmail password and only then click Log in button
