Today I had some spare time, so took some of my images from last year tour of UK, converted them to black and white and edited them in Photoshop combining elements from two pictures into one picture to make it a Black and White High Contrast masterpiece. Here is what I got at the end

Yes I have seen all the pictures of yours. Personally flying birds are my weakness. They always fascinate me. Here in urban areas its a rare feat to capture high soaring eagles, so I hope you can have a good chance to capture their flights in mountainous regions

Certainly you are most welcome. It also depends on your budget, like how much is your ceiling for buying a camera. within that range then I can advise you the best buy for your money. Also let me know what type of photography you are interested in, either a general purpose all time mutlifunctional photography, landscape photography, aviation photography, indoor photography or close up photography

After lots of searching, reviews and what not, I am convinced that Sony and Fujifilm cameras are good in Point and Shoot Category while in the DSLR category, Nikon and Canon are the best, but the price of Nikon and Canon gives me serious hiccoughs

Re: Photography Freaks
friends, let me turn the direction of the discussion from Nikon D-90 to something interesting which I came across while I was in Kashmir on an official trip. A lady doctor over there, who is graduate of KMC told me an interesting incident of her college life. I sprung out of my chair as she uttered "Nayyar" while telling me the story. Excuse me, I interrupted her; Are you talking of Dr. Nayyar Raza Kazmi. Ohhh yes, she replied. How do you know him ? .......
Well. I'll just stop here and let Dr. Nayyar tell us something about the picture below, Its background and the incident.
Many thanks dear sir, for allowing me to post this picture that is shot while the group is facing the Pathology department. Genuinely, I was very happy to come to know about some part of your KMC life. Your good students have developed core hearted affection for you, undoubtedly and vice versa.

Re: Photography Freaks
First of all let me recall my memories. The group surrounding me are my juniors, in fact one year junior, as I can see from left to right (Mubashir currently in Atlanta, USA, Behram Khan Mohmand, a Nephrologist, in San Diego, USA, me, cant recall the name of the guy to my side, but he is also in USA at the moment, and three girls junior to me.
If I am not wrong perhaps I am showing the Official LOVE LETTER as known as "SHOW CAUSE" Notice served to me for severely disrupting and making a joke of a "Urdu Declamation Contest", going on in KMC.
I remember I weared Full O.T Dress, with cap, mask, scalpel, artery forceps, and a musical instrument "Dafli" in my hand and as I and some of these guys around clapped, I danced at the back of the hall and shouted, which disrupted a serious ceremony going on, and everybody started laughing as some Monkey Circus was going at the back.
We were spotted by the Senior Students and our names were given to Principal, KMC which served a Show Cause Notice warning to expel me in 72 hours if I didnt explain what was going on.
Now When I presented beore the Disciplinary Committee, I refused to accept it was me, because no one had seen me as I was in OT Cap/ Mask and Glasses. Only the seniors knew it was me, but had no proof, as no pictures explaining it was me. As I so fiercely defended myself, that the committee thought that yes, it was not me and someone else and hecne the charges were dropped with just a warning
Funny Days.......

By the way, I enjoyed the KMC days to the fullest. I remember I was always on the stage, in comedy films, dramas, musical shows. Many few people know that I was part of a Music Band named "Rahnuma" back in early 90's with me on the Bass Guitars, Ali Javed on Lead Guitars, and Asif on Lead Vocals. Plus, I also acted in a Drama shown on PTV named "Dhund Kay Us Paar"

Re: Photography Freaks
Sir, I was told almost the same story by Dr. Shazia who is working with WHO in AJK nowadays (first lady on your left in the picture). She told me that she threw a tomato on the debator/poet while you were doing the show at the back I couldn't recognize Dr. Behram at all (his younger brothers Hashim and Panni are good friends of mine).
Thought of all you described really makes me laugh while sitting in my office chair.
You really were and are a star. Live stage performances are never easy.
What you told reminds me further good old days of KMC. Following your steps, I was lead vocalist of a non serious band "The wolves" in KMC who performed multiple times on the grand annual night of KMC. ALso I was the in-charge dramatic club of literary society KMC. While in 4th year, I also sang in the amature singer's competition in Karachi club arranged by Ismailis and was selected for a grand finale in Dubai which I couldn't join due to final exams.
Ah ! ... What if you were a successful bass guitarist and me a famous vocalist ! .... But getting amongst the "Hs" was our fate

The person who reported against us was Dr Akhtar Shireen Lachvi, Literary Secretary of his time, and now Assistant Professor at Kohat Medical College while the tomato was thrown at a very thin Doctor with beard (forgetting his name at the moment) who also won the "Zok-e-Aghahi" contest on PTV hosted by Quresh Pur.
