Let me tell you, Plain Aspirin dissolves in Stomach and is predominantly absorbed from Gastric mucosa, so there are always chances of severe gastric irritation which can lead to gastritis, heartburn due to acidity or even peptic ulcer.

Enetric coated aspirin has a special polyglycerol coating that prevents its dissolution and absorption in stomach. So the aspiring is not aborbed in stomach, rather it passes down to duodenul and jejunum parts of small intestine where the polyglycerol coating is dissolved due to intestinal enzymes and aspiring is absorbed from small intestine. This way it prevents acidity, heartburn and peptic ulcers which can be seen in plain apsiring intake
