Management Training Course for Provincial TB Control Program

The Comprehensive Management Training Course for District and Agency TB Control Officers for NWFP and FATA which started in August 2006 finally concluded on 31st of May 2007. The Course was conducted by me as Management Consultant to the GTZ. With the conclusion of the Theoretical part, now we have stepped ahead into the practical aspect of the Management Training Program for DTO's / ATO's .

In this regard, the whole credit goes to the dynamic vision of Dr. Sameh Youssef, Team Leader AGEG/ GTZ Strengthening TB Control Program in NWFP/ FATA, who along with his dynamic team comprising of Dr. Nek Dad Afridi, and Dr. Laeeq Ahmad Khawaja, Technical Advisors took the initiative of, for the first time in Pakistan, developing Management Indicators for TB Control Program and as a Pilot Project is going to be implemented in District Chitral, Nowshera, Swabi, Haripur and Khyber Agency.

The Conclusion Ceremony of the Theoretical part of the Training was presided over by Dr. Mohammad Zubair, Director Health Services, FATA and Dr. Abdul Ghafoor, Manager Provincial Tb Control Program. Dr. Bernd Appelt, Principal technical Advisor, GTZ Support to Health Sector reforms was also present on the occassion. The certificate distribution was followed by distribution of Computers, and Printers to Agency TB Control Officers. Dr. Noor Islam, DTO Chitral was given a special certificate for making an outstanding presentation on Force Field Analysis.
